How to change/correct name on your Itinerary ticket [Cebu Pacific]

Travelling during this pandemic is really overwhelming and would really give you lots of anxiety attacks. I need to travel during this time because my work is based in our province in Aklan and it has been 6 months already since I was stranded in Manila. And it's already GCQ (General Community Quarantine) meaning travel ban are lifted but there will be lots of restrictions and precautions. So to make it short, I was able to accomplish all the requirements needed for an LSI (Locally Stranded Individual) and now ready to go.

As I keep on checking my documents and making sure that everything is complete, organized and no mistakes, and so that I will not be able to experience any delay and I will have smooth and fast transactions. Lo and behold, I noticed that my name in my plane ticket doesn’t have my second name. This reminded me my experience with the other airline that they didn’t allowed me to check-in because I don’t have any ID that doesn’t have my second name. With that reason, I immediately look for ways to correct my name this time.

Here are the steps:

  1. Go to their website  www.cebupacificair.com, scroll down and you'll see the Connect with Cebu Pacific, under that look for "CUSTOMER CARE" then, below it, click "Contact Us":

                2. Then, go to "Guest Feedback Form" then fill out the form;

2.1 TYPE OF FEEDBACK: <REQUEST>

2.2 CATEGORY: <NAME CORRECTION>

2.3 SUBJECT: <NAME CORRECTION / PASSENGER'S NAME / BOOKING REFERENCE NO. / FLIGHT NO. / FLIGHT DATE & TIME>

2.4 DETAILS: Enter the Booking Reference No., your Flight details/itinerary, name of the passenger and state the correction that needs to be done.

  1. Fill out the Flight Information
  2. Fill out Your Contact Information

NOTE: Make sure that you have entered your correct contact information because this is where they are going to contact you.

  1. Tick the box for the agreeing in the terms and conditions.
  2. Check the Security Check Box (if any), to prove that you are not a robot.
  3. Then, click SUBMIT

Once you're done filling out the form, a prompt message will appear that you have successfully submitted the form and that the process will take 7 working days. Also, an email will be sent to the email address that you provided in the contact information you submitted that they have received your request together with the Costumer Reference Number.

I just tried my luck with this process and I got so anxious because I noticed its only 3 days left before my flight and in the prompt message it is going to be 7 working days. Nonetheless, I already submitted it, come what may. HAHA

But on the next day, to my surprise, I received an another email from them that they have already amended the name successfully and they will send me my new itinerary ticket.

Mon, Aug 31, 1:57 PM : I submitted the form

Tue, Sep 1, 9:27 AM : I received an email from them that they had received my request

Sep 1, 2020, 10:00 AM : I received my itinerary ticket with my amended name

With this experience, here are some tips to prevent this from happening:

  • ALWAYS. Always double check or triple check all the information that you input upon booking. If you have second name, always include it in your information. Or make sure that the Valid ID that you are going to present has the same name with your itinerary ticket.
  • As much as possible, book your ticket far from the date of your intended travel. Just in case there is something wrong, there will be an ample time for you to fix it.
  • If you need more assistance after submitting a request, and once you already have the Costumer Care Reference Number,  you may opt to call the airline call center hotline or you may wait for Costumer Service Representative to speed up the resolution;
